Welcome to MoorArts
MoorArts is a non-profit organization of parents, educators, and township residents dedicated to preserving Moorestown’s long-standing commitment to the arts. All MoorArts sponsored events raise funds for the MoorArts Scholarship and Grant Program. Through this program, MoorArts has administered thousands of dollars in grants and awards to support arts-related projects in the public schools and in scholarships to Moorestown High School seniors pursuing advanced study in the arts. In addition, MoorArts partners with school district and community organizations on projects that expand arts awareness and accessibility.
Holiday Arts Festival
MoorArts helps to make the season bright at our annual Holiday Arts Festival Saturday, December 5 on the third floor of the Church Street Recreation Center in Moorestown from 1-4 p.m. Exceptional student artwork, ranging from paintings and sketches to sculpture and photography created by K-12 art students in Moorestown schools will be exhibited at this traditional seasonal event, and festival goers will also be treated to an exciting line-up of live entertainment. Children are invited to create winter-inspired treasures at the make-and-take craft tables. Admission is free; small fee for crafts. The MoorArts Holiday Arts Festival is supported by Moorestown Township Public Schools and the Moorestown Parks and Recreation Department.
Sustainable Moorestown’s Arts Committee
Sustainable Moorestown’s Arts Committee is working to build a unified arts network in our community. As a member organization, MoorArts is helping to distribute a creative arts survey developed by the Committee. If you are an artist, an arts volunteer, or do work related to the arts in Moorestown, please complete the survey and pass it along to any person, business, or organization that is involved in the arts in our community. Thanks for helping us enhance the arts in Moorestown! We welcome the opportunity to participate in this initiative, which coincides with our ongoing mission to support the fine and performing arts in our community.
