Through this program, MoorArts has administered thousands of dollars in grants and awards to support arts-related projects in the public schools and in scholarships to Moorestown High School seniors pursuing advanced study in the arts. In addition, MoorArts partners with school district and community organizations on projects that expand arts awareness and accessibility.

Autumn in Moorestown

Autumn_Singer

MoorArts was proud to be one of the 2012 sponsors of this annual tradition. A variety of live musical entertainment and an outdoor gallery of student artwork were some of the highlights.  Festival goers gathered to listen to our day-long line up of talented musicians and vocalists ranging from a serenade of harp music and jazz vocalists to the Moorestown High School Madrigals. Children and their families walked away with autumn-inspired creations from our make-and-take craft stations, and budding artists proudly posed with their masterpieces on display in the student art exhibition.

Holiday Arts Festival

The 2012 MoorArts Holiday Arts Festival helped to make the season bright by showcasing student artwork from every school in the Moorestown District and giving local singers and musicians a venue to delight a festive crowd with seasonal and original musical numbers. At the make-and-take craft tables, minor masterpieces were created to treasure at home.  The art exhibition featured work that district art teachers specially selected for the MoorArts show, and included pieces from artists in kindergarten through twelfth grade.  Families sampled refreshments as they enjoyed browsing art racks that lined the room, while student artists posed for photographs with their displayed works.  The annual MoorArts event is located on the 3rd Floor of the Church Street Recreation Center, and is supported by the Moorestown Parks and Recreation Department.
