Outdoor Summer Concerts

Each summer, MoorArts is proud to support Moorestown Parks & Recreation Department’s Outdoor Summer Concert Series on Monday evenings. The first two concerts are held at Perkins Center for the Arts, and the series continues on the lawn of Moorestown Community House where a variety of artists perform a wide range of musical styles--preceded by special children's entertainment.

Summer Musical Theater

MoorArt's 18th annual summer musical presentation in 2016 was Elton John and Tim Rice's AIDA. Winner of four 2000 TONY Awards, our wonderful cast, pit, and directorial team mounted a spectacular production of this epic tale of love, loyalty and betrayal. Past MoorArts shows have included The Sound of Music, Evita, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Hairspray!, and Into the Woods.

Autumn in Moorestown

Come visit our booth during the Autumn in Moorestown street festival, where we'll be presenting an exciting line-up of live entertainment. We'll also offer a craft-making station for kids to compliment the professional arts and crafts featured at this annual all-day event lining Moorestown’s Main Street. MoorArts is a proud co-sponsor of Autumn in Moorestown, presented by the Moorestown Business Association.

Holiday Arts Festival

A MoorArts tradition, The Holiday Arts Festival takes place the first Saturday every December right after the Lion's Holiday Parade in Moorestown. MoorArts helps to make the season bright by showcasing K-12 student artwork and photography, and giving young singers, musicians, and dancers a venue to perform seasonal and original musical numbers. Children are invited to create winter-inspired treasures at the make-and-take craft tables. The MoorArts Holiday Arts Festival is located on the 3rd Floor of the Church Street Recreation Center, and is supported by the Moorestown Parks and Recreation Department.

MoorMotion

Get your winter wiggles out!  Every January, MoorArts hosts an evening of creative movement and games for elementary students and their families. Parents and grandparents are invited onto the dance floor to join in the fun as the DJ keeps the music flowing. MoorMotion, designed to encourage children to physically interact with music, is sponsored by MoorArts and presented in cooperation with the Moorestown Parks and Recreation Dept. on the 3rd Floor of the Church Street Recreation Center in Moorestown.

MoorArts Gala

Please join us as we present “An Evening of Performing and Fine Arts” at our biannual fundraiser. Enjoy delicious fare and a variety of exceptional musical entertainment and the opportunity to view and purchase current works by professional artists who live in the area. Your participation supports our mission to expand arts awareness and appreciation in our community, and funds arts-based teacher grants and student scholarships in the Moorestown School District.

"MoorArts is an advocate for the arts in the community. We believe that arts should be regarded as a necessity, not a luxury."
